I live in California and the weather here has been crazy. One day the temperature was 98 degrees and it was December!!! This unit cooled my entire bedroom in 30 minutes making the temperature steady at about 67 degrees. I was and still am quite impressed with this unit. The units are not quiet as central air, of course, but what is? They are at least as quiet as window-bangers, a lot better looking and a much easier to remove if you do not need them. In sum, a very good investment. It does what it days. Cools decently, smaller room than what it says it can handle so it's to be expected. However, the unit is NOT worth 300 dollars. The unit is 200 but shipping and handling is an extra 95 dollars. That's insane.
