Great little unit. Easy to set up....had it up and running within 20 minutes with no problems. Keeps my large bedroom nice and cool. On high, it is a little noisy but when kept on low it's not much louder than a fan. We love it so much that we are planning on purchasing the 14,000 unit for our living room.

Got this portable ac 2 days ago. I am very happy with my purchase. Good price, $229.00 couldn't be happier. The window kit fits to my large window vertically, 45 inches, and still has 5 inches left. It cools down my large bedroom in few minutes. Also, the panel control is very easy to operate. Without a doubt would recommend this unit to anyone looking to buy a portable a.c.

Where do I start? I was desperate to find a portable a/c unit for my bedroom. Although I live in Northern Minnesota, where heat waves necessitate a/c., we did install a slim unit in our great area, that does a pretty fair job at keeping the bedrooms livable, when their ceiling fans are going.

Then I developed an autoimmune disease that causes drenching, and I mean soaking sweats, making sleep impossible. I was determined not to cut a hole in the wall and stick an a/c unit hanging out on to our wrap-around porch. Yew! So I searched. The portabnle a/c units I saw seemed very expensive, and not reviewed very well. So when I came upon the Koldfront, I was impressed by the phrase "self evaporation," system, which surprised me. No draining or venting, I thought. I placed my order.

Unit arrived in great shape and on time.

However, the description of the unit on-line NEVER indicates the fact that it must be vented through a window to run the air... Read more
